Cotswold Bees

The FarmED apiary is managed by Paul Totterdell, under the mentorship of Chris Wells of Cotswold Bees Ltd. Based in the North Cotswolds, Cotswold Bees Ltd provides beekeeping training, services and equipment to the small scale and hobby beekeeper, and also manages apiaries on land throughout the North Cotswolds, producing Cotswold Honey.

Cotswold Bees Ltd produces both comb and unfiltered liquid honey for individuals, delis and restaurants.

Chris began beekeeping in 2002 with two hives just outside the picturesque village of Mickleton and became a bee farmer in 2012. A professional lecturer, Chris regularly speaks to organisations and schools about the fascinating work of beekeeping.

Cotswold Bees Ltd sells nucs of bees when they are available. All the queens are bred in the UK as part of the company’s philosophy is to get back to the old idea of having bees that are suitable for the area in which they are foraging.
