Farm & Food Discovery Coordinator
Emma is trained forest school leader who worked for many years with Little Wild Things, an organisation which provides outdoor nature play for children in West Oxfordshire, giving them the chance to make mud pies, climb trees and build dens. During this time Emma worked with several local schools and families building close bonds with teachers, children and their parents. Emma is a mother of three and also founder of The Kitchen Garden People at Honeydale Farm.
It’s wonderful to watch children grow and explore and to see them make links between wildlife, farming and food. 'I’ve seen how outdoor learning can transform lives’, Emma says ‘I also think it’s really important to offer all children the opportunity to see the potential of working on the land and being close to nature and I cannot wait to introduce children to the farm and to share with them everything it’s got to offer.
