Stroud Brewery - Inspiring Positive Change

Greg Pilley, Managing Director of Stroud Brewery, will describe the journey and motivation behind his enterprise, which has developed a reputation as an industry leader in sustainability most recently being awarded Sustainable Business of the year by the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA), and Winner of Corporate Social Responsibility in the the Circle 2 Success Awards.

Greg worked with the Soil Association for 5 years principally as project Co-ordinator for the Cultivating Communities project which promoted and supported the development of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). He is a founding member of Stroud Community Agriculture Ltd, a Community Co-operative which runs its own farm business, a Director of Stroud Common Wealth (supports social enterprise and community based asset management), and Director of BATCOM (Brimscombe and Thrupp Community Composters) a Community Cooperative enterprise.

Greg likes growing veg on his own allotment, keeps a few bees and helps look after a VERY small flock of sheep.

Please arrive at 11:45 am. The talk will start at midday, and lunch will be served at 1:00 pm.

After the talk, you will get a freshly prepared, nutritious lunch from the FarmED cafe where you will be able to network with other guests.
