About the Event

As part of the Agroforestry Open Weekend 2026, discover what we do at FarmED, and the benefits and challenges of agroforestry. Read More...

Agroforestry Open Weekend celebrates the growing global community of agroforestry farms and farming. Simply put, agroforestry combines agriculture with growing trees, shrubs and hedges and is a land management approach with multiple benefits, from healthier soil to creating vital habitats for wildlife.

  • Are you interested in discovering more about agroforestry?
  • What are the key considerations and benefits?
  • Is it a financially viable option?
  • Where might you find funding and support?

We will start with an introduction, hot drink and homemade cake before we head out on the farm. During the farm walk we will visit all the different agroforestry systems we have here, including our silvopasture, silvoarable, market garden, orchard and shelter belt systems. You will leave with a better understanding of your agroforestry options and next steps.
