About the Event

Where does your food come from? For many people, the answer is simply 'I don't know'.

The gap between the people who grow food and the people who eat it seems to be widening by the day. Thankfully new models of growing and selling food are emerging.

One such model is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) which creates a direct link between consumers and producers of food.

Join us for an evening of inspiring talks about Community Supported Agriculture and delicious pizza from FarmED's own CSA initiatives, the market garden and bakery.

Content

You will hear about the benefits of different types of CSA for both producers and consumers.

You will have the opportunity to experience FarmED's very own community support market garden and see our very own community supported baker while dining on freshly cooked sourdough pizzas.

You will also hear about important considerations for starting a new CSA scheme and will hear from the FarmED CSAs about their story so far.

Who is this module for?

This module has been designed for anyone interested in learning more about how community support agriculture works and how to get involved in this movement. It offers a great foundation for those considering starting a CSA in their own community, but is also suitable for those looking to become members in existing schemes.

The FarmED Bursary
