About the Event
Did you know, if you ate an apple a day, it would take nearly 7 years to try every variety grown in the UK!Â
This is your chance to taste and learn about some of our 200 varieties, from Oxford Beauty and Blenheim Orange to Eynsham Dumpling and Dog's Snout.Â
Join us as we celebrate the first fruit from our heritage orchard, including apple refreshments & a delicious lunch!Â
There will be apple juicing, cider making and tasting, a chance to explore the orchard and take part in an orchard treasure hunt.Â
We will be joined by Christine Elliott who will talk about the history of apples, how we can use and enjoy the apples from our gardens and how to access all of these wonderful British varieties.Â
Bring apples along from your garden to get the varieties identified and take home a range of sweet and savory recipes.Â
This event is suitable for all ages and will inculde a delicious and nutritious lunch, freshly prepared in the FarmED kitchen.Â
