About the Event
People are increasingly becoming curious about where their food and drink comes from, but have you ever wondered where your health and beauty products begin? Maybe you've tried growing your own fruit and vegetables and are now keen to try creating your own health and beauty products from the land? If so, read on...
Join the FarmED Bee Team for an evening exploration to appreciate the health and beauty benefits of honey, beeswax and propolis. Discover more about nature’s time-honoured health & beauty secrets - healing herbs, earth minerals, botanical extracts and how to blend them with honey and beeswax to create your own natural healing balms and purifying face masks. In this workshop you'll learn how to:
- Appreciate the long historical tradition of these ingredients in health and beauty preparations
- Blend plant oils and essential oils with beeswax to make simple balms
- Blend clays and botanical extracts to make face masks for different skin types
- Look at other uses of bee ingredients in health and beauty products
This is a fun, hands-on workshop run by beekeeper and biologist, mother-daughter founders of Therapi Honey Skincare, Tanya and Esme Hawke. Tanya and Esme also manage bees at FarmED as members of the FarmED Bee Team.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is open to curious minds and lovers of bees - there are no prerequisites!
