About the Event
Last year there was an event in Cumbria called Carbon Calling… it went so well there will be two this year: Conference Cumbria (9th/10th September) and Conference Cotswolds (6th/7th September) 2023.
Carbon Calling is about farmers sharing ideas, knowledge, success and failures. It's about thinking about how we do things in a new way. The chat is free flowing and open; rooted in the principles of regenerative farming, working with nature and improving our land, as opposed to depleting it. We also have a firm grip on reality: the need for farming to be viable, profitable and manageable. Carbon Calling is the connection between conventional and regenerative farming.
Founders, Liz Genever and Nic Renison, are now working with the FarmED team to bring together a programme that complements the Cumbrian conference while being relevant to the different farming systems.
Join us in the Cotswolds for one day or two and engage with a mix of key note talks, panel discussions, workshops and farm walks. Â Â Celebrate over dinner on the middle evening.
We are excited to have Jaime Elizondo from Real Wealth Ranching as headliner for both events. He will run workshops/talks on both days at FarmED on how to improve your land while maximising productivity, focusing on his Four Pillars of genetics, grazing, nutrition and breeding. Jaime has taught and consulted on different environments across the globe including Canada, USA, Hawaii, Colombia, Paraguay, Mexico, France and Scotland. Not to be missed.
Other speakers/sessions on soil health, regenerative farming, grazing livestock, holistic management and agroecology will include:
- Becky Willson (Farm Carbon Toolkit)
- Niels Corfield (Agroecological Adviser)
- Sheila and Chris Cook (3LM)
- Ian Wilkinson (FarmED)
