About the Event

Want to know more about the horse health and environmental benefits of species-rich grasslands? Interested in maximising the positive impact that your equine businesses has on landscape and biodiversity? Can horses be managed in a regenerative way?

This one-day workshop, co-curated by FarmED, the Cotswold National Landscape (Glorious Cotswold Grasslands) team and equine expert Frances Standen, includes case studies, a farm walk and local field visits. Tea, coffee and a delicious and nutritious lunch included.

The course will focus on improving equine grazing by encouraging species diversity within the sward for long term equine and environmental benefits.  Suitable for owners of equine businesses, farmers with livery yards, horse owners, equine management students, advisors and vets.

As part of the GREAT project (see www.greatglos.co.uk) we can offer subsidised places to existing and aspiring farmers, growers and advisers in Gloucestershire to the suite of regenerative agriculture and agroecological transition courses at FarmED. You will be asked for a few eligibility details including evidence of your involvement in regenerative agriculture and your potential impact in Gloucestershire.
