A glass of wine and a sample or two to taste (straight out of the cookbook!) will be available to enjoy following the talk.

Please note, we always do our best to cater for as many dietary requirements as possible, but we may not be able to cater for specific requirements on this occasion.

About the book:

Rick Stein has spent his life travelling the world in search of cooking perfection – from France and Italy to Australia and the Far East – and inspiring millions of food lovers with the results. In his new book, Rick Stein At Home, he takes stock of his remarkable life and takes us into the rhythms and rituals of his home cooking.

For Rick, cooking at home is not all about dinner parties, it’s about nights in with your family, knocking a meal up from what’s in the fridge. It’s about having friends over for a bite to eat, trying to better Deliveroo by making spectacular

takeaway food, and the simple joy of fruit cake with a cup of tea in the afternoon.

In his first book to celebrate his all-time favourite home-cooked meals, Rick shares over 100 very special recipes – from family classics that evoke childhood memories, his Mum’s risotto and her favourite Apple Charlotte to his favourite way to cook whole fish on the barbecue, Barbecued whole sea bass with fennel mayonnaise, along with stories that celebrate his favourite ingredients, food memories, family cooking moments and more.

Sharing the dishes he most loves to cook for family and friends throughout the year, Rick takes you inside his home kitchen and shares not only his favourite recipes but some of his obsessions too, from making stock to his quest to create the perfect sourdough. And, of course, Rick Stein at Home also includes recipes from his recent BBC TV series Rick Stein’s Cornwall.

About the author:

Rick Stein’s passion for using good-quality local produce and his talent for creating delicious recipes in his books and restaurants have won him a host of awards, accolades and fans. As well as presenting a number of television series, he has published many best-selling cookery books, including French Odyssey, Coast to Coast, Far Eastern Odyssey, Rick Stein's Long Weekends, and Rick Stein’s India.

Rick has always believed in showcasing local seafood and farm produce in his four restaurants in Padstow, Cornwall, where he also has a cookery school, food shops and a pub in the nearby village of St Merryn. In 2018 Rick was awarded a CBE for services to the economy. Rick and his wife Sas divide their time between Padstow, London and Australia, where he also has two seafood restaurants by the sea in Mollymook, and Port Stephens NSW.
