15 Aug 2023, 10:00 – 16:30

FarmED, Station Rd, Shipton-under-Wychwood, Chipping Norton, OX7 6BJ

About the Event

Do you want to reduce your reliance on nitrogen fertiliser and not compromise on grass growth?  This course will focus on using forage legumes such as red and white clover and how they can fit with your farming system.  The Cotswold Seeds team will cover how to choose the right mix of plants to sow, seed rates, over seeding, establishment and management.  Concerns about bloat, fertility issues and weed control will be discussed along with solutions for different systems.

We will be hearing from Lyndon Edwards from Lower Llantrothy Farm in Monmouthshire who converted to using high clover leys in 2001 and has never looked back.

The course is suitable for livestock farmers, advisors, students and land owners.

Tickets include refreshments and a seasonal lunch from the FarmED Kitchen.

This is a full-day course running from 10am to 4.30pm.
