About the Event
Ancient rock art depicts the earliest evidence of our relationship with honeybees as wild honey hunters. But behind our long held love of honey, lies the story of plant evolution and the dance between bees and flowers across the millennia that has shaped the beauty and diversity of our natural world.
Join beekeepers Tanya & Esme Hawkes, from our ‘Bee Team’ to learn more about honeybees in the wild, the TreeHive Project at FarmEd and enjoy a little gastronomic guesswork during the honey tasting session!
All followed by a three course, honey themed lunch, freshly prepared in the FarmED Kitchen:
Starter:
Aubergine, tomato, black beans, honey, sourdough crisps with Oxfordshire mead
Main:
Feta, filo, sesame, honey, cucumber with honey apple refresher
Dessert:
Honey, chai, amaretti with iced espresso and honey cream
