About the Event
Join Nick Patel for a walk around Honeydale farm to see the many species of farmland birds that live here during the winter. Â Gain expert advice on how to identify them, both visually and audibly. Â Learn about their different habitats, what they eat and how we can help them thrive. Â
Take a couple of hours away from the fast pace of modern life and immerse yourself in the world of farmland birds. Â Enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful landscape; the perfect antidote to festive overindulgence!
At the end of the walk there’ll be a delicious and nutritious lunch freshly prepared in the FarmED kitchen, with vegetables from the market garden and other produce from local suppliers.Â
About Nick Patel
Super passionate about British wildlife, Nick has worked at several reserves as a warden, helping to improve habitats, and has trained at various RSPB reserves. He is particularly passionate about wetland habitats, wildflower meadows, grasslands and how regenerative farming can help to change perceptions about what farmers can do to make space for nature.
An experienced walk leader, eco-communicator and naturalist, Nick now works independently to educate the public on conservation matters whilst showcasing some of the most amazing wildlife the UK has to offer.
