About the Event

Join Andy Howard of the Heritage Fruit Tree Co. to learn the theory, skills and practice of Winter Fruit Tree Pruning.

In this workshop you'll discover the different methods and techniques used to shape fruit trees, control their size and influence their productivity. You'll also find out when and how to apply these techniques to suit different circumstances and different types of top fruit.

Importantly, we'll also discuss the differences between Winter and Summer Pruning and when and how to prune pip fruit (apples and pears) and stonefruit (plums and cherries).

A hot lunch will be provided in FarmEAT, after which you will be able to put your skills into practice in FarmED's own Heritage Orchard.
