Local Children Visit

A group of children who have missed out on summer holidays due to the pandemic came for a farm tour and pizza making session at FarmED today.

The Branch Trust in Chipping Norton bought the old NatWest building in the centre of Chipping Norton, which they are hoping to develop into a community hub. This summer they are putting on a series of days out for families who normally depend on free school meals and won’t be getting away on holiday.

The children arrived by coach and enjoyed a farm walk with Schools Coordinators, Emma and Heidi, plus a scavenger hunt, farm quiz. They harvested some of the vegetables growing in the kitchen garden to make their own pizzas, helped by Nick from Chipping Norton restaurant, Wild Thyme.
