About the Event
We need to start better understanding the interrelated factors that play a role in our health and learning what changes we can make to improve and optimise it.
Come and learn more in this interactive and experiential lunch in which we will explore the role of the key foundations of good health - nutrition, movement, sleep, rest and connection.
Our guest Sally Bell, an NHS GP and Functional Medicine Practitioner, will show you there are better solutions to complex and chronic health problems than the conventional GP approach.
Your experience will start with a walk around the farm, where you’ll see first-hand what good soil and healthy crops look like.Â
We’ll discuss the importance of soil health, biodiversity and nutrient density as integral factors in this picture of health as a whole.Â
One of a series of FarmEd events with Sally this year, this session focuses on Mood Food. Your delicious 3-course dinner is a menu of food that has been shown to impact the gut and brain.Â
From improving concentration and memory, increasing 'happiness' hormones, promoting sleep and healing, to providing reward and stimulating desire.Â
You will leave with a clear understanding of the five foundations of health, the importance of how our food is produced for both our health and that of the planet, and a roadmap for how you can start making immediate changes in your daily lives.Â
