About the Event

92% of farmers under 40 believe poor mental health is the biggest hidden problem they face.  Learn how to spot the early signs of poor mental wellbeing and acquire the skills that will enable you to make a positive difference when it matters most.

FarmED are collaborating with The Farming Community Network (FCN) to bring you a unique one-day CPD accredited course focusing on how to notice the signs of poor mental wellbeing, what can be done to help and how to manage difficult conversations.

The day is ideal for people working in the rural community, those engaged with the wider supply chain and farming industry, including farm advisers, land agents, vets and agronomists.  Do you recognise the signs of mental ill health within your colleagues and clients? Are you looking after your own well-being? How can you support others? Are you a good listener?

The course covers content from two CPD accredited FCN FarmWell modules; Wellbeing Support for the Agricultural Community and Listening Skills and Difficult Conversations. Each module is worth two CPD points.

The day is facilitated by the FarmED team and includes a farm walk, refreshments, and good food. There will be time for discussion and reflection. You will leave with a completed FCN workbook.
