Farming Stories Workshop with Nicola Baker

With fun farm facts, storytelling, and creative tips, this event is perfect for curious minds and young animal lovers.

About Nicola's book series

The Whistledown Adventures, Finding Hope, Rescuing Ruby, Meeting Meg and Saving Snowflake. A warm cosy farm adventure story series for children 7+, all inspired by real stories from Nicola and her husband Matt Baker’s farm in the Dales. Ten-year-old Ava has swapped city life for mud, wellies and animals on Whistledown Farm, discover the ups and downs of farming life through The Whistledown Adventures series. 

About the event

After an hour's session with Nicola, learning all about creative writing, farming life and storytelling, enjoy a farm-to-fork picnic box made with delicious produce from our own farm.

This is a children's event, tickets include session and lunch for the children (accompanying adults go free), the FarmED Cafe will be open for refreshments before the event.

This activity is aimed at ages 7+

Arrive at 10:15am for an 10:30am start, the session with Nicola Baker will be around an hour. Please note, children must be supervised by an adult throughout their time at FarmED.

Books will be available to purchase on the day, with a chance to get your book dedicated by the author herself.
