About the Event
92% of farmers under 40 believe poor mental health is the biggest hidden problem they face. Learn how to spot the early signs of poor mental wellbeing and acquire the skills that will enable you to make a positive difference when it matters most.
A sustainable farming and food future needs resilient farmers and thriving rural communities. Health, happiness and positive communication are key.
FarmED are collaborating with The Farming Community Network (FCN) to bring you a unique one-day CPD accredited course focusing on wellbeing, supporting others, listening skills and managing difficult conversations.
The day is ideal for all those working within farming and those engaged with the wider supply chain and rural community including farm advisers, land agents, reps and buyers. Do you recognise the signs of mental ill health within your colleagues and clients? Are you looking after your own well-being? How can you support others? Are you a good listener?
Join us, develop your awareness and skills, help build a positive future. Please find a link to the agenda here.
The course covers content from two CPD accredited FCN FarmWell modules; Wellbeing Support for the Agricultural Community and Listening Skills and Difficult Conversations. Each module is worth two CPD points.
The day is facilitated by the FarmED team and includes a farm walk, refreshments, and good food. There will be time for discussion and reflection. You will leave with a completed FCN workbook.
